Welcome to Operation Hope Medical Missions (OHMM)! Since our founding in 2018, we have been dedicated to providing free medical/surgical care and sharing the gospel to the underserved communities in Comayagua, Honduras. Our Board of Directors, comprised of experienced healthcare professionals, brings a wealth of knowledge from previous medical missions. Together, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
At San Benito Jose Medical Center our mission is clear: to provide compassionate, free medical and surgical care to the indigent. We are dedicated to serving families and patients who have limited or no access to essential healthcare services, often traveling long distances on tight budgets just to receive our support. Many patients face significant hardships, lacking basic necessities such as food, clean water, and adequate housing, while enduring illness and pain. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality medical care, regardless of their circumstances.
We are proud to organize surgical mission trips twice a year, bringing together a dedicated team of around thirty healthcare volunteers from across the United States. Each week-long mission allows us to provide vital surgical care to approximately one hundred patients in Honduras. During the summer, our smaller team focuses on serving rural communities in the mountains, ensuring that even the most unreached individuals receive necessary medical care. We are honored to offer free healthcare to those in desperate need, breaking down barriers that often prevent access to essential services.
